The principles of democracy and transparency as the spirit of Kyiv Mohyla academy have become the basis for the projec. Lack of public space, presence of iconic objects inside the academy campus, as well as the need to get rid of barriers - that was what led us to the following ideas:

• to create an urban public space for the academy adjacent to Kontraktova square
  
  
• to open maximum access into the area by removing all fences within the campus
  
  
• to demolish buildings and structures that have no meaningful use and reduce their maintenance's costs
  
  
• to open a part of the campus area for the city.
  
  

The concept should become a subject for open debate and discussions among the KMA and broader urban community.
